Make SFMOMA's new free first-floor installation the main stop, adding Yerba Buena Gardens if weather and energy allow. Separate free areas, paid galleries and Thanksgiving closure.
Choose between the free area and ticketed galleries
Sarah Sze's Forever is Composed of Nows opens free in the first-floor atrium on Nov 21. This is not free admission to the entire museum. The installation will not yet be open during an October visit.
Editorial suggestion: leave two hours without rushing
- Check the exhibition and daily opening notices; do not plan museum entry on Thanksgiving, Nov 26.
- Enter at 151 Third Street and start with the first-floor installation, staying as long as suits you.
- If weather allows, add a short Yerba Buena Gardens walk; shorten the outdoor stop in rain and budget separately for food.
Pair the exhibition with one nearby event.
