Slow down at Reinhardt Redwood, while avoiding outdated Stream Trail itineraries during October works. Check closures, choose a short walk and review Nov 27 fee-waiver terms.
Do not follow an old route without checking
The Oct 7 park notice reports Stream Trail repairs between Trail's End and Fern Trail, plus phased closure near Old Church Picnic. A short Golden Spike section accessed from Monteiro Trail is scheduled closed Oct 5–16. Do not connect these into a loop before reopening is confirmed.
Editorial suggestion: a short walk and an unhurried afternoon
- Check the official map and closure points before choosing an open entrance; do not count on reception or parking.
- Choose a short out-and-back walk, turning around at barriers. Bring water, grippy shoes and a layer; photos do not establish trail conditions.
- Green Friday on Nov 27 waives specified park fees, but trains, carousels and state licenses are excluded; facilities may close independently.
Check what is included before choosing a park.
