Ravenswood tidal-marsh nature walk

A leisurely Bay Trail outing exploring salt-marsh plants, birds and wetland ecology. Although family-friendly, it is about three miles over two and a half hours. Choose based on children’s walking ability; sightings of particular species are not guaranteed.

Details to plan before you go

  1. 01

Use the Ravenswood meeting point at the end of Bay Road, not the preserve’s separate northern section.

  2. 02

Arrive early to sign the participation waiver. Follow any reservation requirement added to the official page, and recheck cancellations and trail closures before leaving.

  3. 03

Bring water, layers and suitable walking shoes. Heavy rain may cancel the outing; the listed finish time is not an exact return guarantee.

  4. 04

Plan restroom use beforehand: the preserve has none. Bring binoculars and remain on the trail.
