Bear Creek: sawmills, a seminary and open space
Land stories from sawmills and a seminary to open space
Explore changing land use at the Alma Cultural Landscape, with an optional nature loop bringing the outing to about 3.5 miles.
Before you go
The meeting point is in the hills near Los Gatos, about one mile along Bear Creek Road from Highway 17.
The roughly three-mile nature loop after the history portion is optional.
Wear trail shoes, bring water and check closure notices before departure.
