Current FAQ: live within the SMCL service area, hold a valid library card and be age 16 or older. eCards and institutional cards are excluded. The named holder needs valid ID on the reserved date.
How to use this benefit
Use your own library's Discover & Go portal and check whether your address is within its service area. San Mateo City, Redwood City and other libraries have separate portals. You may hold two active reservations; guest limits vary, and printed passes cannot be canceled.
Check the official page for current eligibility, availability and participating locations.
