Check eligibility first

Riders age 18 and under need no application or Clipper card for regular Muni service. Ages 16+ should carry age ID. Cable cars are excluded from this general benefit.

Archive photo from Muni Heritage Weekend 2017. Bus 3287 was displayed that year; this does not confirm its appearance in 2026.

How to use this benefit

Useful for October park and museum outings. San Francisco youth residents can separately apply for a cable-car pass. These rules do not apply to BART or Caltrain.

Check the official page for current eligibility, availability and participating locations.
