For ages 5–18, a one-way ticket costs $1 for any number of zones, and a $2 day pass lasts through the final train of the service day. Use Youth Clipper or a station ticket machine for one-way fares; buy day passes at a ticket machine. Proof of age may be requested; a regular bank card does not automatically identify youth eligibility.

How to use this benefit
Applies to Caltrain along the SF, Peninsula, and South Bay corridor, excluding parking and other transit operators’ fares. Each paying adult, senior, disabled-fare rider, or START, BayPass, or GoPass user may bring one child age 4 or younger free; additional young children need youth tickets. Check actual train service before traveling.
