Camp Harmony, an overnight New Year’s folk music camp: a few nights in the Sonoma hills to sing, play and folk dance
Overnight only: book lodging ahead, no day visits
The San Francisco Folk Music Club’s New Year’s camp, Camp Harmony 2026–27, runs Dec 29 to Jan 3 at Camp Newman in the hills between Santa Rosa and Calistoga; come for all of it or any part. It is camper-led: jams, a new instrument, group singalongs, folk dancing, concerts, hikes in the woods and board games late into the night. Rates are per camp day and include lodging and three meals.
Before you go
Camp Newman allows no drop-ins or day use: each camp day runs 2pm to 2pm and you register for lodging; Jan 2–3 is the last night and departure day.
Register by noon Nov 15 for $65–$115 per camp day for ages 3–12 and $130–$230 for adults, by lodging type; after that, until registration closes at noon Dec 13, regular rates are $70–$120 and $135–$240. Ages 13–30 have young-adult rates.
The rate sheet does not cover children under 3, so ask before you register; housing goes in order of registration, and campers show a negative Covid test on arrival.
This season’s workshop schedule is not out yet; the one linked is from 2025–26, so don’t pick classes from it.
