Sunday Streets Excelsior: Mission Street Opens to People
The season finale opens nearly a mile of streets to people, with family activities, a clothing swap, a coffee parklet party and a Lucha Libre showcase. New residents can explore Excelsior’s shops and community on foot.

The dedicated 2026 page confirms Mission Street from Geneva to Theresa, 11am–4pm. Persia Triangle hosts a family hub.

The organizer recommends BART to Balboa Park followed by a walk. The 14 Mission reroutes via Alemany during the event; check SFMTA for temporary stops.

The 9:30am Excelsior 5K Walktober from Cayuga Playground has separate registration. It is not required for attending the daytime street event.
