Sausalito Goblin Jamboree: Halloween Play at the Discovery Museum

Hands-on and gentle: make monsters and dig for bugs

Turn a museum half-day north of the Golden Gate Bridge into a gentle Halloween outing, with creature crafts, a bug dig and nature-based mixing activities. An option for families who prefer hands-on play to late-night scares.

Before you go

  • Held only Oct 3–4, 10–11, 17–18, 24–25 and 31. Members also need dated tickets; the Oct 16 evening fundraiser is separate.

  • EBT/SNAP/WIC tickets are $10, purchased in person, up to four tickets. Library passes and ACM/ASTC discounts do not apply to this special event.

  • The museum provides free parking. Navigate to 557 McReynolds Road in Fort Baker. Editor tip: bring spare clothes and a windproof layer, allowing time for the bridge crossing and parking.

  • The event runs rain or shine. Check the dated ticket calendar for live availability and confirm ticket types, child age rules and closing time before leaving.
