Fairy Winterland at Children’s Fairyland: three weekends of lights and winter tales

World winter tales, crafts, puppet shows, free cocoa

Children’s Fairyland by Lake Merritt holds its 20-year-old winter event on three December weekends, noon to 7pm: holiday displays, winter tales from around the world, holiday crafts, daily performances and puppet shows, festive world music, free hot cocoa and cider, a visit from Black Santa, and twinkling lights after dark.

Before you go

  • Tickets go on sale Nov 1 on the official site: adults $23, children $21; members $11.50 per adult and $10.50 per child; $5 per person with Fairyland for All.

  • Saturday Dec 19 is the members’ free day, that day only; on Dec 12–13 and the other days members buy member-price tickets.

  • A separate 21+ evening on Dec 11 is for adults only.
