Downtown Berkeley Saturday Farmers’ Market: California farms selling direct, with handmade-gift stalls in December

Farms sell their own produce, with handmade gifts in December

The Ecology Center’s Berkeley Farmers’ Market meets on Saturdays from 10am to 2:30pm downtown, at Center St and Martin Luther King Jr. Way. Everything on the farm side is grown in California by the farm that sells it, alongside nuts, baked goods, jams, juices, olive oil, meat, cheese, prepared food, plants and flowers; in December the Winter Craft Fair adds weekly pop-up stalls selling handmade gifts such as jewelry, pottery and soaps.

Before you go

  • CalFresh EBT and WIC Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program checks are accepted, and every market offers Market Match.

  • In mid-October the market’s in-season list includes bok choy, bitter melon, jujubes and ginger.

  • There are also markets on Tuesday afternoons in South Berkeley and Thursday afternoons in North Berkeley.
